A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been killed outside Naco, Arizona in the early hours of October 2. Suspected drug smugglers have shot two agents and authorities in the region are not commenting on the condition of the second injured agent who was airlifted to the hospital. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Cochise County Sheriff Department is investigating the shooting.
